Engaging with U.S.-based TB Survivors and National Leadership

TB Alliance will participate in multiple events in Washington, DC briefing U.S. lawmakers about the global TB pandemic and the urgent need for new TB drug regimens. It is also sponsoring survivors from across the country to meet with their congressional representatives and raise awareness and support for government funding of TB programs. These events include a congressional briefing as well as an event on Momentum to End Tuberculosis featuring Willo Brock, TB Alliance SVP, External Affairs. Update 3/21/18: The event "Momentum to End Tuberculosis" has been canceled due to inclement weather.
TB Then and Now: Looking Back, Looking Forward | NYC World TB Day Conference
Monday, March 26, 2018 | 9:00am - 5:00pm
This conference will address the history of the TB epidemic in New York City and the path towards TB elimination. Topics will include a review of local epidemiology, infectiousness and transmission of TB, short-course regimens for MDR TB, emerging drugs for TB treatment, strategies for addressing the current state of TB in New York City. TB Alliance's Director of Pharmacovigilance Dr. Mengchun Li will present an overview of the organization's drug development pipeline.
