When my daughter learned she had TB
Having tuberculosis can be a devastating experience for a child and his/her entire family. Child-friendly TB treatments in proper doses do not exist. Further, the disease carries heavy stigma in many regions. Children and their families facing TB must face pain, fright, and neglect, but are often left to deal with such an experience alone, as the stigma of the disease is among the factors that has traditionally kept pediatric TB hidden in the shadows.
