Established in the late 1920s, the Gordon Research Conferences provide an arena for dialogue on frontier research in the biological, chemical, and physical sciences, and their related technologies. Conferences promote discussion and free exchange of ideas, and improve communications between scientists working within the same research fields.
For the third consecutive gathering, the TB Alliance is supporting the Gordon Research Conference on TB Drug Development, taking place July 3 to 9, 2005 at the University of New England at Biddeford, Maine. This sponsorship will help fund the attendance of outstanding researchers from endemic countries.
Dr. Mel Spigelman, Director of R&D at the TB Alliance, will be moderating the session on “Lead Optimization and ADME” on Wednesday, July 6, 2005. Researchers that will be presenting at the conference also include members of the TB Alliance Scientific Advisory Committee: Dr. Clifton Barry, Dr. Ken Duncan, and Dr. Denis Mitchison.
