The TB Alliance Stakeholders Meeting was held in conjunction with the annual International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (IUATLD) conference. Dr. Lee Reichman, President of the National Tuberculosis Center in Newark, NJ and a noted advocate for patients, was unanimously elected President of the Stakeholders Association (SHA), replacing James Orbinski who completed his first term of office.
Two new members were also elected to the SHA: The Philippines Coalition Against Tuberculosis (PhilCAT) and India’s National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER).
